The Magic Potion pattern gives this Armadillidium species a striking appearance, with beautiful yellow markings on their back and on a semi-transparent basis. Armadillidium depressum are slightly larger than another similar isopod species: Armadillidium vulgare ‘Magic Potion’.

Size: adults reach a length of 20 mm.
Activity: early morning; nighttime.
Terrarium: keep ⅓ moist with moss and pieces of rotting white wood, covered with decaying leaves. Check out also our premium substrate.
Temperature: 15 – 26°C
Humidity: 55 – 75%
Diet: fruits, veggies, greens, fish-food, decaying leaves, rotting white wood, molting of invertebrates and reptiles. And 2x times a week provide a source of protein. Be sure to check out our Protein mix foods. Also don’t forget a calcium source (cuttlefish bone, limestone & oyster seashell, limestone rock) to keep them healthy.
Difficulty: easy.
Reproduction rate: fair; they might need some time to start reproducing, but an established colony has a stable population.
