Armadillidium badium ‘High Yellow’ has now its new strain, an almost solid vivid yellow color, with almost lack of brown, compared to the previous older strain of high yellow. It’s a bulky Armadillidium species from Casteldaccia, Sicily. They are easy to care for isopods and fairly prolific.

Size: adults reach a length of 1.8 cm
Activity: day; night; early morning
Terrarium: keep ⅓ moist with moss and pieces of rotting white wood, covered with decaying leaves. Check out also our premium substrate.
Temperature: 17 – 26°C
Humidity: 50 – 60%
Diet: fruits, veggies, greens, fish-food, decaying leaves, rotting white wood, molting of invertebrates and reptiles. And 2x times a week provide a source of protein. Be sure to check out our Protein mix foods. Also don’t forget a calcium source (cuttlefish bone, limestone & oyster seashell, limestone rock) to keep them healthy.
