Troglodillo sp. ‘Sunset’ is a beautiful and somewhat flat isopod species with some variability in color, ranging from isopods having a more yellow face, to more orange face, and from a dark orange back to a dark brown back, with all the color combinations in between. It was previously known as Cubaris sp. ‘Sunset Queen’, but that name is now unaccepted. Troglodillo sp. ‘Sunset’ is an easy to keep and breed isopod, thus suitable for beginners.

Size: adults may reach a length of 20 mm.
Activity: mostly night active.
Terrarium: keep ⅔ moist with moss, pieces of white rotten wood and also decaying leaves. Check out also our ultra premium substrate and premium substrate.
Temperature: 24 – 28°C
Humidity: 50 – 70%; they are adaptable.
Diet: fruits, veggies, greens, fish-food, forest moss, lichen, gammarus shrimp, decaying leaves, white rotten wood, molting of invertebrates and reptiles. They will enjoy a slightly higher protein-based diet, at least 2x times a week. Be sure to check out our Cubaris protein boost (which is for all isopods).
