Isopoda World List: genus Troglodillo

Meet the giant of the genus! Discovered in Vietnam in August 2024, Troglodillo sp. ‘Vex’ is a striking, flat, and broad-bodied isopod that demands attention. What truly sets the ‘Vex’ apart is its incredible coloration: a dark dorsal ring surrounds a strikingly lighter center, all framed by a vibrant, bright orange skirt. As the largest currently known species in the Troglodillo genus—edging out even the impressive Troglodillo sp. ‘Porcelain’—this wide-set beauty is a standout centerpiece for any serious collector.

They might take a few months to produce offspring but once they establish they breed steadily.
