Porcellio laevis ‘Orange’ is the orange color variation selectively cultivated from the wild Porcellio laevis isopod. It’s a very vibrant orange strain and an isopod suitable for beginners. Porcellio laevis is a species that is mainly active during the day (diurnal). Its round shape makes it easy to distinguish from other elongated isopods. It’s on the larger scale size and an easy isopod to keep and breed. Their appetite is truly without boundaries, they will eat anything and they will wash the plate clean in no time! They are hardy and adaptable but rather quick when exposed.
