Isopoda World List: genus Cubaris
Unlike simple two-toned “piebald” isopods, the ‘Crazy Horse’ morph boasts a stunning tri-color calico appearance. Each individual displays a completely randomized, unique mosaic of deep charcoal, creamy white, and rich caramel-brown undertones. They only phenotypically look somewhat similar to Cubaris sp. ‘Cappuccino’ but they are a different species. Their trade name “Crazy Horse” is because these guys run quickly here and there, like crazy horses. 😅
