Troglodillo sp. ‘Vex’ was discovered in August of 2024 in Vietnam. It has a darker color ring on its back, leaving the center of its back looking like it has a lighter color; whilst their skirt has a brighter orange color. It is a flat and broad isopod species, and currently the largest known in the genus Troglodillo! Slightly smaller is the Troglodillo sp. ‘Porcelain’.

Size: adults may reach a length of 20 mm.
Activity: mostly night active.
Terrarium: keep ⅓ moist with moss, pieces of tree bark or cork bark and also decaying leaves. Check out also our premium substrate and ultra premium substrate.
Temperature: 24 – 28°C
Humidity: 50 – 60%; they like it a bit drier.
Diet: fruits, veggies, greens, fish-food, forest moss, lichen, gammarus shrimp, bat guano, decaying leaves, white rotten wood, molting of invertebrates and reptiles. They will enjoy a slightly higher protein-based diet, at least 2x times a week. Be sure to check out our Protein mix foods. Also don’t forget a calcium source (calcium triple boost, cuttlefish bone, limestone & oyster seashell, limestone rock) to keep them healthy.
