Hypomelanistic Base Color: Due to its hypomelanistic genetics, the traditional dark melanin production is drastically reduced. It is replaced by a beautifully semi-translucent, golden-sand and caramel-amber hue.

Contrasting Patterning: The classic Armadillidium rows of spots down the back remain intact, presenting as a creamy pale yellow that blends softly against the lighter body.

Frosted Skirt: One of the most eye-catching features of the ‘Toffee’ morph is the pale, translucent-white edging along the skirt. This crisp, bright outline creates a beautiful framing effect that makes the isopod pop brilliantly against darker substrates and leaf litter.

Size: adults may reach a length of 13 to 15 mm.
Activity: day; night; early morning.
Terrarium: keep ⅓ moist with moss, pieces of tree bark or cork bark, and also decaying leaves. Check out also our premium substrate and ultra premium substrate.
Temperature: 17 – 26°C
Humidity: 60 – 75%
Diet: fruits, veggies, greens, fish-food, decaying leaves, forest moss, lichen, white rotten wood, molting of invertebrates and reptiles. And 2x times a week provide a source of protein. Reproduction rate: fair to prolific; they have rather smaller broods, compared to other Armadillidium species.
