Armadillidae sp. ‘Devil Mask’ is a dwarf isopod from Vietnam with a unique spiky armor and a cute face! What is currently known about this isopod is that it belongs to the broad family Armadillidae, but the species to which it belongs to is still not known. There are captive bred isopods already from this beauty and thus they are now easier to breed in captivity.

Size: adults may reach a length of 6 – 8 mm.
Activity: mostly night active.
Terrarium: keep ⅔ moist with forest moss, pieces of tree bark or cork bark and also decaying leaves. Check out also our premium substrate and ultra premium substrate.
Temperature: 24 – 28°C
Humidity: 50 – 70%; they prefer moderate to high humidity, yet sufficient aeration is also important.
Diet: fruits, veggies, greens, fish-food, forest moss, lichen, gammarus shrimp, bat guano, decaying leaves, white rotten wood, molting of invertebrates and reptiles. They will enjoy a slightly higher protein-based diet, at least 2x times a week. Be sure to check out our Protein mix foods. Also don’t forget a calcium source (calcium triple boost, cuttlefish bone, limestone & oyster seashell, limestone rock) to keep them healthy.
