Armadillidium saxivagum, with its common name Stone-roving Pill Woodlouse is a rarely offered isopod from Southern Croatia with a unique pattern and colors. The only thing you need to pay attention to is that they like it a bit more moist than the average Armadillidium standard.

Armadillidium saxivagum, isopod care
Size: adults may reach a length of 13 to 15 mm.
Activity: day; night; early morning.
Terrarium: keep ⅓ moist with moss, pieces of rotting white wood and also decaying leaves. Check out also our premium substrate.
Temperature: 17 – 26°C
Humidity: 60 – 75%
Diet: fruits, veggies, greens, fish-food, forest moss, decaying leaves, rotting white wood, molting of invertebrates and reptiles. And 2x times a week provide a source of protein. Be sure to check out our Protein mix foods. Also don’t forget a calcium source (cuttlefish bone, limestone & oyster seashell, limestone rock) to keep them healthy.
Difficulty: moderate to easy.
Reproduction rate: fair; they have rather smaller broods, compared to other Armadillidium species.
Growth rate: normal to slow.
