Armadillidium cf. apuanum is a large, bulky and impressive isopod species, slightly over 2 cm long from Northern Italy. It has vivid yellow spots, jet black background and legs. Even the underside is almost totally black! Loved this one. 😍 The cf. means that this specific isopod locality looks like the original Armadillidium apuanum, but it is not certain that they are the same.

Size: adults may reach a length of 22 – 25 mm.
Activity: night; early morning.
Terrarium: keep ⅓ moist with moss, pieces of tree bark or cork bark and also decaying leaves. Check out also our premium substrate and ultra premium substrate.
Temperature: 15 – 26°C
Humidity: 50 – 70%
Diet: fruits, veggies, greens, fish-food, decaying leaves, forest moss, lichen, white rotten wood, molting of invertebrates and reptiles. And 3x times a week provide a source of protein.
