Common name: Raffaele’s Spheric Pill Woodlouse
Spherillo raffaelei, with its common name Raffaele’s Spheric Pill Woodlouse is a dwarf isopod and its cuteness levels are skyrocketing! 😍 Their colors range from gray to sand color with ocher or orange flecks here and there. Spherillo raffaelei is about the size of the Cristarmadillidium muricatum isopods and they are easy to keep and breed.

Size: adults may reach a total length of 5 – 6 mm.
Activity: day; night; early morning.
Terrarium: keep ½ moist with moss, pieces of tree bark or cork bark and also decaying leaves. Check out also our premium substrate and ultra premium substrate.
Temperature: 19 – 27°C
Humidity: 50 – 65%
Diet: fruits, veggies, greens, fish-food, decaying leaves, white rotten wood, lichen, mushrooms, molting of invertebrates and reptiles. This uncommon and secretive isopod requires protein as well, at least 2x each week. For alternative sources of protein be sure to check out our Protein mix foods. Also don’t forget a calcium source (calcium triple boost, cuttlefish bone, limestone & oyster seashell, limestone rock) to keep them healthy.
