Porcellio sp. ‘Orange Skirt’ comes from Portugal. Their orange skirt – and head – appears gradually as they age. In small numbers they are highly secretive isopods, you almost never see them around. With a larger population however, they are in contrast almost all of the time active, especially the young isopods.

In the beginning they were called Porcellio echinatus ‘Orange Skirt’, but an expert that has examined this isopod, said that it differs from Porcellio echinatus, and they are a new undescribed species.
