Porcellio sp. ‘Ultra White Antenna’ was formerly known as Porcellio hoffmannseggii ‘Ultra White Antenna’. But recent studies (8 March 2025) suggest that it looks to be much closer to Porcellio magnificus, yet, not 100% identical to them. Thus, for now it remains an unidentified Porcellio sp. Porcellio sp. ‘Ultra White Antenna’ has a beautiful zebra pattern of white and black bands on its body. The young isopods have wider white bands, and as the isopods grow older, the white bands become a little thinner.

Size: adults may reach a length of 40 mm.
Activity: day; night; early morning.
Terrarium: keep ⅓ moist with moss, pieces of tree bark or cork bark and also decaying leaves. They require good air flow and adequate ventilation. It’s a social Porcellio species that when established, breeds well. Check out also our premium substrate and ultra premium substrate.
Temperature: 18 – 30°C
Humidity: 50 – 60%
Diet: fruits, veggies, greens, fish-food, forest moss, lichen, gammarus shrimp, decaying leaves, white rotten wood, mushrooms, molting of invertebrates and reptiles. Reproduction rate: moderately prolific.
Growth rate: normal to fast.
