Porcellio sp. ‘Antalya’ is a beautiful new unidentified Porcellio species (spring 2024) from the area of Antalya, Turkey. Some individuals have those wide white bands, making it look like a zebra! Really unique. Most individuals however have just white markings and dots here and there, on a dark brown to black basis color. They also have orange uropods and orange skirts! Though that tends to fade off on the adult isopods. Porcellio sp. ‘Antalya’ is a small to medium size Porcellio isopod and it is easy to reproduce. Nice is also that they are not seasonal breeders like many other Porcellio species. Though they have less broods in the winter.
