Cubaris sp. ‘Red Panda King’ is the reddish/orange color variety of the common Cubaris ‘Panda King’ isopod. This color variety was developed in the USA and isolated from a single individual that appeared with a brown color. After a couple of years, and with selective breeding, the reddish/orange panda king color variety appeared! 😃

Size: adults may reach a length of 22 mm.
Activity: anytime; mostly night active.
Terrarium: keep ½ moist with forest moss, pieces of tree bark or cork bark and also decaying leaves. Check out also our premium substrate and ultra premium substrate.
Temperature: 22 – 28°C
Humidity: 60 – 80%
Diet: fruits, veggies, greens, fish-food, forest moss, lichen, gammarus shrimp, decaying leaves, white rotten wood, molting of invertebrates and reptiles. They will enjoy a slightly higher protein-based diet, at least 2x times a week. Be sure to check out our Protein mix foods. Also don’t forget a calcium source (calcium triple boost, cuttlefish bone, limestone & oyster seashell, limestone rock) to keep them healthy.
Difficulty: easy to moderate.
