The trade name ‘Champagne’ is describing their color which is various tones of champagne. The Armadillidium maculatum ‘Champagne’ isopods are very easy to keep and breed. They are prolific and they also produce many mancae with each brood. The only thing you need to pay attention to is that they like it a bit more moist than the average Armadillidium standard.

Humidity: 60 – 75%
Activity: day; night; early morning
Diet: fruits, veggies, greens, fish-food, moss, lichen, gammarus shrimp, decaying leaves, white rotten wood, molting of invertebrates and reptiles. They will enjoy a slightly higher protein-based diet, at least 2x times a week. Be sure to check out our Protein mix foods. Also don’t forget a calcium source (calcium triple boost, cuttlefish bone, limestone & oyster seashell, limestone rock) to keep them healthy.
