Armadillidium arcangelii is a medium size isopod, originally coming from Sardinia, but later introduced to other european countries as well. It’s an easy to keep and breed isopod, and therefore it is suitable for beginners. Some individuals have a more marbled pattern than others.

Size: adults may reach a length of 6 to 8 mm.
Activity: day; night; early morning
Terrarium: keep ⅓ moist with moss, pieces of tree bark or cork bark and also decaying leaves. Check out also our premium substrate and ultra premium substrate.
Temperature: 17 – 28°C
Humidity: 50 – 70%
Diet: fruits, veggies, greens, fish-food, decaying leaves, white rotten wood, lichen, molting of invertebrates and reptiles. And 2x times a week provide a source of protein. Be sure to check out our Protein mix foods. Also don’t forget a calcium source (calcium triple boost, cuttlefish bone, limestone & oyster seashell, limestone rock) to keep them healthy.
