Porcellio haasi ‘Bardenas’ is a beautiful Porcellio haasi variety from the area of Bardenas, Spain. Instead of yellow dots, Porcellio haasi ‘Bardenas’ has this beautiful yellow pattern on a dark brown basis. Some isopods are almost solid yellow! A really beautiful and prolific spanish isopod. Size: adults may reach a length of 30 mm.
Activity: mostly night active.
Terrarium: keep only ⅕ moist with moss, pieces of tree bark or cork bark and also decaying leaves. Porcellio haasi ‘Bardenas’ isopods require a much drier setup, good air flow and adequate ventilation. It’s a social Porcellio species that when established, breeds well.
