Hyleoglomeris cf. bomba is a beautiful pill-millipede with colors resembling a bumblebee. The cf. means that this specific pill-millipede looks like the original Hyleoglomeris bomba, but it is not certain that they are the same. The original Hyleoglomeris bomba are found in Thailand, while these come from Laos. It could be that they are the same and they are now found in Laos as well. Or, it is a different species )or subspecies, that only phenotypically looks similar to the original Hyleoglomeris bomba pill-millipede. These come from Nong Khiaw, Laos.

Size: adults may reach a length of 20 mm.
Activity: both day and night active.
Terrarium: a 4.5 liter, or larger container should be fine. Cover at least the half of it with forest moss and decaying leaf litter. They should also have plenty of white rotting wood.
Substrate: the depth of the substrate should be at least a little deeper than that for isopod species; because when they molt they need to go under the substrate to molt their skin. Check our premium substrate for millipedes. and the ultra premium substrate for millipedes.
Temperature: 20 – 27°C
Humidity: 65 – 75%; they are adaptable.
Diet: lichen, forest moss, fruits, veggies, greens, fish flakes, decaying leaves, rotting white wood, kinshi, flake soil, lime, millipede food. And they enjoy the weekly insect jelly.
Difficulty: moderate to challenging.
Reproduction rate: moderately prolific.
Growth rate: slow
Lifespan: 1 – 2 years.
