Cubaris sp. ‘Cherry Blossom’ is that isopod with the unique pink color that instantly stands out! 😍 They are not that difficult to keep and breed isopods. You should definitely try them out! It is a color morph isolated in Japan from Cubaris ‘Red Pak Chong’. It is funny that, the Americans call it ‘sakura’ – which means “cherry blossom” in japanese, and the japanese called it “cherry blossom” in the first place 😂

Size: adults may reach a length of 15 mm.
Activity: anytime; mostly night active.
Terrarium: keep ⅓ moist with moss, pieces of tree bark or cork bark and also decaying leaves. This Cubaris isopod tends to burrow a lot. Almost all the time however, there are some of them hanging out in the open, day or night. Check out also our premium substrate and ultra premium substrate.
Temperature: 22 – 28°C
Humidity: 55 – 70%.
Diet: fruits, veggies, greens, fish-food, forest moss, lichen, gammarus shrimp, decaying leaves, white rotten wood, molting of invertebrates and reptiles. They will enjoy a slightly higher protein-based diet, at least 2x times a week. Be sure to check out our Protein mix foods.
