Porcellio selomai is a relatively new Porcellio species, described in 2020 by Cifuentes & Barranco. Characteristic of this isopod is their gray-lilac color.

Size: adults may reach a length of 23 mm.
Activity: early morning; nighttime.
Terrarium: keep ⅖ moist with moss, pieces of rotting white wood, covering with decaying leaves. Porcellio selomai do not require an extremely dry setup like other Porcellio isopods, but also don’t like it too wet.
Temperature: 18 – 30°C
Humidity: 55 – 65%
Diet: fruits, veggies, greens, fish-food, forest moss, lichen, decaying leaves, rotting white wood, molting of invertebrates and reptiles. They will enjoy a slightly higher protein-based diet, at least 2x times a week. Be sure to check out our Protein mix foods. Also don’t forget a calcium source (cuttlefish bone, limestone & oyster seashell, limestone rock) to keep them healthy.
