With this aluminum pipe cutter you can easily cut holes in the plastic bin.

No need to pay a ton of money for a circular saw. It gets the job done in no time 💪🏻
You can use this cutter to directly cut holes onto the plastic tub. Then you can screw in the air vents. Warm it up on your gas stove (photo #3) or if you don’t have one, you can use a heat gun or a hand torch burner instead, and it easily melts the plastic. No need to spend time with a soldering tool, and a ton of money to buy a circular saw. I went to buy a circular saw and I paid more than €23,00 ! Then I saw that it is sold separately from its base to fit in a cordless drill driver (that cost another €25,00 ++) Are you kidding me?? Did I pay €23,00++ euros for nothing?! On top of that, after cutting a hole with a circular saw, you need to file each hole to make it smoother. Too time consuming if you ask me.
Pipe dimensions / diameter
Its outer diameter is 40 mm exactly the outer diameter of the air vents. Weight of the pipe: 92,24 gram.

FAQ
For how long should I heat up the pipe cutter?
It depends on various factors, like the maximum flame of the gas stove, or the ambient temperature (if it’s winter or summer for example). But you should have in mind that you should not overheat it and also not underheat it. In the case of overheating it will “walk” freely and it will open a larger hole. And in the case of underheating, it will fail to create the hole. But, it’s always better to underheat it and if needed you repeat until the hole has been created.
Afraid of damaging the container?
If you afraid of damaging the container, you can practice first on random plastic containers, like food containers from something that you ate, for example.
Should I have a fan on, in that area?
Yes! It is always advised to have a fan on, when working with melted plastic, to avoid inhaling volatile fumes and other compounds (VOCs) which can be harmful when inhaled. But having a fan around is also helpful, when you want to reduce slightly the heat of the pipe cutter, before attempting to cut the hole on the container.
