I personally also came across a couple websites selling arthropods in Europe (if I can recall well one was in Switzerland) that felt somewhat iffy, while I was checking on how to place an order there. And one should always check a website if it doesn’t look like a “regular one” (ie: we don’t have a shopping cart). But as one checks our website, they can see the Reviews section, where we posted the buyers’ unpacking of parcels, and / or them mentioning our website in their instagram story. When one checks our instagram, they can see highlight stories named “Shipped” (and a number next to it, for example “Shipped #7”).
Each of these sections can hold up to 100 stories → (click the image to enlarge). We post there a story of an order prior packaging, in that way the buyer can also see what they will be getting.

Tip #1: Purchasing from a local online marketplace? Like eBay Kleinanzeigen in Germany, or Leboncoin in France? Be sure to check the seller’s profile, how many reviews did they get and how many pictures of the item they have for sale they posted. With a quick google image search you can see if that image is from someone else.

Tip #2: Safeguard your privacy and reduce spam. We all hate spam but yet we need to give an email address in order to track our parcel with the carrier company. Well, there are services that you can create your alias email address and thus say goodbye to spam! One of them is duckduckgo.com. After visiting, click on the three horizontal lines (top right on that website) and scroll down to “email protection”.
