7 months later since this project begun, and we are in phase #2. Seven months later, from the 10 isopods that I had isolated for their most vivid yellow color, only a 10% from the total of about 100 isopods expressed the chocolate yellow phenotype. I am hopeful though, that by phase #4 or #5 the phenotype will be stable and all the isopods will express the same chocolate yellow colors. Watch the video of this second phase on YT.
From this same colony the next project will be: Armadillidium maculatum ‘Champagne Yellow! 🤩

Today I noticed one yellow Armadillidium maculatum ‘Chocolate’ in my colony and after searching in their bin, I discovered more. Thus I separated 6 of them, 3 are looking more lemon-yellow than the other three. The best part is: after a few minutes the lighter yellow were mounting the one with intense yellow! 🥰 I hope I have mancae soon and I hope the color remains.
